Makino Asia, a leading machine tool manufacturer, presented us with
a challenge of creating an application that would simplify the parts
ordering process for dealers and customers in various parts of the world.
This application would replace the conventional method of ordering parts
using a printed catalog. Very often customers find it difficult to order their parts because they are unable to locate the right part number. Vector came up with the idea of using a blown-up image of the machine along with its various parts. By clicking on a particular part the dealer or the customer would be able to identify the part number. With this application, Makino Asia was able to simplify the part ordering process that was avaiable ona CD which Makino Asia could distribute to its customers worldwide. Elements
